It is the policy of ARKUPS to provide a safe and healthful workplace for our employees and to observe all State and Federal Laws and Regulations.
Our goal is to completely eliminate accidents and injuries. Due to the many different hazards of our industry, we must maintain a constant safety awareness to achieve this goal. As such we have, and will continue to maintain, a Safety and Health Program designed to train our employees to follow safe practices, and to recognize and correct unsafe working conditions.
Safety is a part of each employee’s job. Active participation and adherence to the Safety Program is a condition of each employee’s employment. No employee is required to work at a job that he or she knows is not safe. Therefore, we must work to make every workplace safe by detecting and correcting unsafe working conditions, as well as the detection of unsafe work practices.

ARKUPS begins on the first day of employment by covering multiple safety topics to prepare our new hires to be able to recognize hazards while driving and on the job site during ride week.
We cover a different safety topic daily in our training program to educate our new hires how to go home safe and sound every day.
Monthly Safety Meetings
ARKUPS focuses on continued safety training by holding monthly safety meetings and encourages our employees to share the safety information with others.
District Managers perform a required number of safety observations each month, additionally random observations are done continually on our workforce.
ARKUPS holds its employees accountable by making safety worth 30% of your annual increase. Another incentive is our “Safety Rewards Program” that pays our workers for safe work practices!
